Sanofi (SNY) said Friday it stopped clinical testing and global regulatory applications for its amlitelimab medication for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.
The company concluded the accumulated safety and effectiveness data does not support further progress for the skin condition, though a separate phase 2 study for the medication in celiac disease is expected to yield results in H2, the company said.
The decision will not alter the company's financial outlook for the full year, Sanofi said.
Shares of the company were down 1.5% in Friday premarket activity.
