Texas Instruments (TXN) reported Q2 earnings late Wednesday of $2.14 per diluted share, up from $1.41 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.94.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $5.46 billion, up from $4.45 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $5.26 billion.
For Q3, the company expects EPS of $2.23 to $2.57 on revenue of $5.65 billion to $6.15 billion.
Analysts expect $2.18 and $5.63 billion, respectively.
Shares of Texas Instruments were down 5% in after-hours trading.
