Coca-Cola recorded higher profit and sales in the second quarter, citing better concentrate sales, pricing and product mix.

The beverage conglomerate on Tuesday posted a profit of $1.03 a share, up 16% from a year before.

Stripping out certain one-time items, adjusted per-share earnings were 97 cents, ahead of the 93 cents anticipated by analysts, according to FactSet.

Revenue rose 7% to $13.4 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast revenue of $13.17 billion.

Sales growth was driven by a 4% increase in its sales of concentrate, which it sells to bottling partners. Price and mix increased 2%.

Chief Executive Henrique Braun called the consumer landscape dynamic, as customer needs are continuing to change.

Coca-Cola raised its outlook for adjusted earnings per share growth to a range of 9% to 10%, up from 8% to 9% previously.
