Amkor Technology Logs Higher 2Q Sales, Profit on Strategic Partnerships, AI Growth

Amkor Technology logged an increase in sales and profit in the second quarter, as the company expanded partnerships and capitalized on the artificial intelligence momentum.

The semiconductor product and services provider on Monday posted a profit of $174 million, or 70 cents a share, in its second quarter, compared with $54.3 million, or 22 cents a share, a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected a profit of 48 cents a share.

Revenue rose 26% to $1.90 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet forecast revenue of $1.82 billion.

"During the first half of 2026, we expanded strategic partnerships across the semiconductor ecosystem, advanced key customer programs in AI and HPC, and continued the expansion of our Advanced packaging and test capacity," said Kevin Engel, president and chief executive officer.

Amkor expects sales in the third quarter to be between $1.95 billion to $2.05 billion, compared to the $2.10 billion analysts are projecting. Third quarter profit is expected between $180 million to $205 million, or 72 to 82 cents a share, compared with Wall Street's estimate of 63 cents a share.
