Want Want China (HKG:0151) expects profit attributable to equity holders to decline by about 38% in the fiscal first quarter from a year earlier.

The company also expects revenue to decrease by about 6%, according to a Sunday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Want Want attributed the expected decline to weaker market sentiment, which reduced revenue, and higher operating expenses.
