Dow Jones

1013 ET - The two main factors driving Procter & Gamble's fiscal-year outlook are the health of the consumer and the crisis in the Middle East, Chief Financial Officer Andre Schulten tells CNBC. The midpoint of its organic sales outlook range of 1% to 3% growth assumes the consumer stays where they are at about 2% consumption growth, Schulten says. The midpoint of the earnings per share guidance of 0% to 3% growth assumes the Iran war continues and oil prices stay at around $90 per barrel. In that scenario, transportation costs will keep rising and supply chain issues will persist, Schulten says. Shares decline 2.8%.
