Check Point Software Technologies (CHKP) continues to face near-term growth pressure from go-to-market disruptions, with expanded sales investments expected to contribute more meaningfully in 2027, RBC Capital Markets said in a Thursday note.

RBC said Q2 revenue came in slightly below expectations, while product revenue fell 14%.

The company also plans to add about 300 sales representatives through year-end, including about 100 to 150 net new hires, to address disruptions created by changes to account assignments, the note said.

According to the analysts, the additional hires are not expected to benefit 2026 results, with contributions expected to become more evident as 2027 progresses. They also said that management has noted some significant deals shifted from Q3 to Q4 while broader demand for firewall products remains healthy.

RBC maintained its sector perform rating on Check Point with a $135 price target.
