Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were slightly higher on Friday morning, up 0.1% to 2,934.38 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by sports schools operator Leifras (LFS) and cloud service provider Kingsoft Cloud (KC), which climbed 11% and 7.4% respectively.

They were followed by tech and e-commerce giant Alibaba (BABA) and private education services provider New Oriental Education (EDU), which rose 3.2% and 2.6% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by Internet and data center service provider VNET (VNET) and autonomous driving technology company WeRide (WRD), which fell 4% and 2.9% respectively.

They were followed by steelmaker Posco (PKX), which shed 2.6%.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by travel service provider Trip.com (TCOM), which added 0.4%.

The decliners from South Asia were led by HDFC Bank (HDB), which fell 1.1%, followed by telecom PLDT (PHI), which was down 1%.
