Blackstone (BX)-backed AirTrunk has secured $2.33 billion in green financing to support the development of its JHB2 hyperscale data centre campus in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the company said Tuesday.
AirTrunk said the financing is the largest green project finance transaction for a single data centre in Malaysia and its largest single-asset financing to date.
The company said the JHB2 campus will have more than 270 megawatts of capacity once fully developed and is designed to support cloud and artificial intelligence workloads.
AirTrunk said A consortium of 30 local and international financial institutions participated in the green financing.
