Cohu shares rose after the company's second-quarter sales and outlook came in ahead of expectations.
The stock climbed 25% to $57.97 in pre-market trading Friday. Through the previous close, shares were up 89% this year.
The semiconductor testing company said revenue in the second quarter jumped 38% to $149.0 million, ahead of the $144.2 million analysts were expecting.
Sales were boosted by improvement across end markets, as well as an 80% bump in test cell utilization.
For the current third quarter, Cohu projects revenue will be $170 million at the midpoint, plus or minus $7 million. Wall Street was forecasting $161.8 million.
