Ampol Reports Higher H1 Profit, Says Queensland Refinery to Undergo Major Maintenance in August; Shares Hit All-Time High

Ampol (ASX:ALD) said its first-half unaudited group replacement cost operating profit (RCOP) earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) clocked in around AU$1.6 billion, jumping from the AU$649 million reported in the prior-year period, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company's RCOP earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) came in around AU$1.35 billion, surging from AU$404 million in the 2025 first half.

In the same filing, the company said the Lytton refinery in Queensland will undergo a major maintenance starting in August and expected to be completed during October, with the anticipated impact to production volumes to be around 300 million liters.

The Lytton refiner margin averaged $28.26 per barrel for the first half with total refinery production of 2.95 billion liters. The margin rocketed up 280% year over year from $7.44 per barrel, and production rose 8.7% from 2.71 billion liters in the 2025 first half.

Ampol's shares jumped over 1% in recent trading on Thursday and earlier hit an all-time high.
