BMW Group is making Qualcomm Technologies its primary compute silicon provider for its next-generation digital cockpit and automated driving systems through the next decade.

The companies said Wednesday that the deal comes after years of technical collaboration, during which Qualcomm has demonstrated its ability to deliver AI capabilities required by BMW's most demanding vehicle programs.

The agreement spans Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis portfolio, which will be used by BMW to deliver AI-powered experiences in its vehicles going forward.
