Bud APAC's 2026-2027 Earnings Likely Weighed by Weaker China Demand

0834 GMT - Budweiser Brewing Co. APAC's 2026-2027 earnings could be weighed by weaker near-term demand in China, say DBS Group Research analysts in a note. The beer brewer posted 1H results that slightly missed consensus estimates thanks to weakness in its China segment, they note. The segment is likely to see near-term headwinds thanks to volume pressure amid unfavorable weather, among other challenges, they say. DBS lowers its 2026-2027 earnings projections by 4%-6% to reflect this and the delayed pressure from higher input costs next year. Still, the analysts expect China volume decline in China to narrow in 2H on a lower base. DBS trims its target price to 7.80 Hong Kong dollars from HK$8.20 but maintains a buy rating. Shares closed 0.2% lower at HK$6.565.
