Stocks to Watch: Bristol Myers Squibb, Alibaba, Palantir

AstraZeneca (AZN, UK:AZN), Bristol Myers Squibb $(BMY)$: The drug companies are in talks to combine in a deal that would value the joint company at roughly $400 billion, the Financial Times reported. Shares in AstraZeneca fell in London, while Bristol Myers Squibb shares jumped premarket in the U.S..

Alibaba (BABA, HK:9988): The Chinese company released a new artificial-intelligence model, called Qwen 3.8-Max, in the latest sign of intensifying competition in the AI race. Shares jumped 7% in Hong Kong, while its U.S.-traded ADRs advanced premarket.

easyJet (UK:EZJ): The budget carrier extended Castlelake's bid deadline, giving its suitor and rival bidder Apollo until the end of the week to either submit a firm takeover offer or walk away. Shares rose in London.

Marriott International $(MAR)$ and Tyson Foods $(TSN)$ are among the companies reporting earnings before the opening bell. Palantir Technologies (PLTR) will report after the close.
