First Capital Securities' (SHE:002797) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half jumped 42% to 687.8 million yuan from 485.5 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Saturday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.

The Chinese securities company's shares rose 2% during Monday's afternoon trade.

Earnings per share climbed 33% year on year to 0.16 yuan from 0.12 yuan.

Total operating revenue rose 18% to 2.17 billion yuan from 1.83 billion yuan in the previous year.
