DBS Group Holdings is scheduled to report its second-quarter results on Thursday. Here is what you need to know:

NET PROFIT FORECAST: Singapore's largest bank is expected to post a 0.7% increase in net profit to 2.84 billion Singapore dollars, equivalent to US$2.21 billion, according to the consensus estimate of eight analysts polled by Visible Alpha.

REVENUE FORECAST: DBS's total income likely rose 3.5% to S$5.93 billion from a year ago, according to six analysts polled by Visible Alpha.

Shares of DBS touched record highs during the second quarter. The stock rose about 15% in the quarter and has surged 32% year to date. Sentiment across Singapore's banking sector has been buoyed by expectations of strong quarterly earnings growth, boosted by wealth management.

WHAT TO WATCH:

--DBS's earnings are likely to be driven by elevated wealth management fees and noninterest income, CGS International analysts said in a recent note. DBS may have also booked favorable markets trading income, given bond yield volatility amid the Middle East crisis, CGS International said.

--The bank's net interest margin likely declined from the previous quarter, weighed by factors such as repricing of fixed-rate assets at lower interest rates, said UOB Kay Hian analyst Jonathan Koh. He projects NIM to have fallen 4 basis points on quarter.
