China's State Council approved the construction of nuclear power reactors that a unit of SPIC Industry-Finance (SHE:000958) will build, according to a Saturday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
The project will construct two passive pressurized water reactor nuclear power units under the Shandong Laiyang Nuclear Power Project, with a rated power of 1,543 megawatts each.
SPIC Industry-Finance will establish a project company to oversee the facility.
Shares rise 3% during the midday break on Monday.
