Westlake (WLK) shares were up about 13% in Tuesday trading following better-than-expected Q2 results.
Earlier, the company posted quarterly earnings of $2.01 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $1.11 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.71.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $3.27 billion, up from $2.95 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $3.24 billion.
