MetLife (MET) reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $2.43 per diluted share, up from $2.02 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.30.
Revenue for the three months ended June 30 was $19.15 billion, up from $17.34 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $19.67 billion.
Also, MetLife said its board has approved a new $3 billion authorization to repurchase its common stock, which is incremental to nearly $400 million remaining under its previous authorization announced in April 2025.
