Concentra Names Matt DiCanio CEO, Keith Newton Executive Chairman

Concentra (CON) said late Thursday that President and Chief Financial Officer Matt DiCanio will become president and chief executive officer, starting Nov. 1.

Current Chief Executive Officer Keith Newton will transition to executive chairman as part of a planned leadership succession, the company said.

Chairman Robert Ortenzio will step down as board chairman on Nov. 1 but will remain a director. DiCanio will also join the board as a Class III director, the company added.

Concentra shares were up nearly 14% in premarket trading.
