Top Cryptocurrencies Lower; Bitcoin Holds Above $63,000 Level

Top cryptocurrencies were broadly lower Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) weaker but holding above the $63,000 level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 0.5% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 lost 0.4%, the S&P 500 eased 0.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.3%.

Bitcoin fell 0.9% to $63,395, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 12.3% to $20.63 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 0.2% to $1,872.

XRP (XRP-USD) lost 0.8%, BNB (BNB-USD) rose 1.7%, and Solana (SOL-USD) eased 0.9%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) added 1.5%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 5.1%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.6% in the past 24 hours to $2.17 trillion, with trading volume dropping 9.6% to $52.24 billion.
