Huntington Ingalls Industries received a $2.2 billion task order grant to deliver services to the U.S. Southern Command.

The contractor said Tuesday it would provide surveillance, tracking, intelligence, network services, global reconnaissance, analysis and interceptions as part of the contract.

The services are designed to detect and disrupt illicit activity across Latin America and the Caribbean, HII said.

The program supports Southern Command's mission to fight criminal organizations and drug cartels.

The task order has a performance period of one base year with six option years.
