Imdex (ASX:IMD) is expected to continue to express optimism regarding the strength in underlying industry conditions, which they are capable of capturing and executing on, according to a Monday note from Jarden.

Industry conditions are anticipated to improve through the second half of fiscal 2026, driven by strong underlying commodity demand, the brokerage said. However, there are risks building from the the need for further cost investment to support growth, higher D&A costs, and volatility in equity raising proceeds for junior miners, it added.

Alpha Consensus expectations are for further acceleration in underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization growth into fiscal 2027. Jarden forecasted fiscal 2027 core net profit after tax growth of 16% and lifted its fiscal 2027 core earnings per share estimate by 3% and the fiscal 2028 one by 1.8%.

The investment firm changed its rating on Imdex to underweight from sell and raised its price target to AU$3.80 from AU$3.60.
