AIC Mines (ASX:A1M) said the first diamond hole drilled at its Brumby copper-gold prospect in Queensland returned an intercept of 46.4 meters at 3.6% copper and 1 gram per tonne grade of gold from 146.5 meters, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The result represents the highest-grade mineralization intersected at the prospect to date, and escalates Brumby "to our highest priority exploration project," said AIC Mines Managing Director Aaron Colleran.

Mineralization has now been defined within the breccia pipe over a strike length of 500 meters and to a depth of 200 meters, with the mineralization remaining open to the west, southwest, and at depth, per the filing.
