Jacobs Solutions' Life Sciences, AI Businesses to Drive Growth, RBC Says

Jacobs Solutions (J) could maintain strong growth as AI and life sciences demand stays firm, environmental work improves, PA Consulting opportunities grow, and the company keeps focusing capital on internal growth and shareholder returns, RBC Capital Markets said in a note Thursday.

Life Sciences & Advanced Manufacturing unit should remain Jacobs' main growth and margin driver, helped by continued spending on AI data centers, chip plants, power and water infrastructure, the investment firm said.

Demand for data center work remains strong, while Jacobs' long relationships with hyperscalers and growing work with neocloud customers could support more project wins, according to the note.

Environmental Services, which was softer in fiscal 2025 following the change in the US administration, could return to roughly mid-single-digit year-over-year growth in fiscal 2027, while PA Consulting has opportunities in European defense and security and revenue synergies in North America.

The investment firm said Jacobs is prioritizing investments in its existing businesses and shareholder returns, with mergers and acquisitions not a near-term priority given the organic opportunities across the company.

RBC has an outperform rating with a price target of $174.

Shares of Jacobs Solutions were down 2% in Thursday afternoon trading.
