Acer Gadget Inc (TPE:2432) said its chief operating officer, Jerry Kao, has resigned from the position with effect from Aug. 14, according to a same-day disclosure to the Taiwan stock exchange.

In his place, chairman Jason Chen will take over the position in the interim.
