Skanska said it won a $1.2 billion contract to build four data centers in the southeast of the U.S. for an existing client.
The Swedish construction company said the four data centers would total around 75,000 square meters. The work includes the shell and interior fit-out for technical spaces, support areas and office functions.
Skanska didn't name the client or specify the locations.
Construction will start in the third quarter of 2026 and is expected to complete in the third quarter of 2028. Skanska said the contract would be included in U.S. order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.
