Alibaba's (HKG:9988) ATH unit has launched a trial version of HappyShrimp 1.0, an AI that crafts full musical pieces from simple inputs like moods or themes.

The system handles every aspect of production-tunes, words, and singing-without users needing any musical expertise, according to a statement on Monday.

Its beta offers two paths, with the first generating both lyrics and music from scratch, and the other setting original words to AI-composed melodies and arrangements.

Trained on diverse musical traditions, the model grasps the creative essence across different styles, periods, and cultures.
