Zhejiang Jiemei Electronic and Technology's (SHE:002859) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half rose 40% to 137.8 million yuan from 98.5 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Tuesday.

Earnings per share climbed 39% year on year to 0.32 yuan from 0.23 yuan.

Operating revenue increased 21% to 1.17 billion yuan from 962.4 million yuan in the preceding year.

The board of directors proposed a cash dividend payout of 1 yuan per 10 shares to shareholders for a total cash dividend of 45.2 million yuan.

The Chinese electronic components manufacturer's shares rose 1% during the afternoon trade.
