WW (TPE:8442) will establish a new unit, dubbed WW Investment, with proposed capitalization of $20 million, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.

The capital will be injected in installments based on the subsidiary's operational needs, the filing said.

WW said the new subsidiary will be used for equity investment, fund allocation, and resource coordination, while the funding will come from the company's own funds and financial institutions.

Shares of the investment company rose 4% in recent trade.
