Hainan Jinpan Smart Technology's (SHA:688676) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half increased 14% to 302.7 million yuan from the year-ago attributable profit of nearly 265 million yuan, according to a Friday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.

Earnings per share climbed 14% year on year to 0.66 yuan from 0.58 yuan.

Operating revenue rose 13% to 3.56 billion yuan from 3.15 billion yuan in the preceding year.

The Chinese power transmission and distribution equipment manufacturer's shares jumped 13% at the close.
