Shares of OSI Systems fell after the company reported lower-than-expected revenue in its fiscal fourth quarter, as the war in the Middle East shifted the timing of certain deliveries.

The stock declined 15%, to $186.46, in premarket trading Friday. Through Thursday's close, shares have lost 15% of their value year to date.

The company, which designs and manufactures specialized electronic systems and components, late Thursday posted a profit of $55.2 million, or $3.27 a share, for its three months ended June 30. That compares with $52.7 million, or $3.03 a share, a year earlier.

Stripping out one-time items, earnings came in at $3.78 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected adjusted earnings of $3.77 a share.

Total net revenues fell 4.1% to $484.1 million, missing Wall Street models for $529.7 million.

"While revenues were impacted by disruptions from the Middle East conflicts, underlying demand for our products and services remain encouraging," Chief Executive Ajay Mehra said.

"These delays do not reflect order cancellations and remain in our backlog with updated delivery schedules."

Looking ahead, OSI Systems guided for adjusted earnings of $11.13 to $11.49 a share on a revenue range of $1.88 billion to $1.93 billion for its fiscal 2027. Analysts are looking for adjusted earnings of $11.39 a share on revenue of $1.93 billion.
