President Donald Trump on August 27 posted on social media platform X, praising South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden and granting him his "Complete and Total Endorsement."

Trump called Rhoden "The Great Governor of South Dakota" and noted that he "WON BIG, six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024!" Trump described Rhoden as a "Fourth-Generation South Dakotan, successful Businessman, Rancher, former State Legislator, and now, as Governor," who has "strongly served the Wonderful People of South Dakota during a career 'loaded up' with accolades and wins." The president listed Rhoden's priorities: championing South Dakota values, promoting farmers and ranchers, growing the economy, cutting taxes and regulations, advancing MADE IN THE U.S.A., unleashing American energy dominance, securing the border, stopping migrant crime, ensuring law and order, supporting the military, veterans, and law enforcement, safeguarding elections, and protecting the Second Amendment.
