Vault Minerals (ASX:VAU) said the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has determined that its proposed merger with Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD) does not require notification, satisfying the ACCC approval condition for the scheme, according to an Australian bourse filing on Thursday after market hours.

The merger remains subject to an independent expert's approval, shareholder and court approvals, and other customary conditions, per the filing.

The company expects to send the scheme booklet to shareholders in early October, with the shareholder meeting anticipated to take place in late October, the filing said.

The company board continues to unanimously recommend the scheme, subject to the independent expert's assessment and the absence of a superior proposal, the filing added.
