Minerals 260 (ASX:MI6) secured an expanded mining lease for its Bullabulling gold project in Western Australia, with aggregate leases now covering the entire mining and processing area defined in the project's pre-feasibility study, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company also struck a binding deal with Kalgoorlie Mining Associates to acquire about 367 square kilometers of tenure mostly contiguous with the Bullabulling project, per the filing.

The transaction consideration includes AU$250,000 in cash and AU$1 million worth of Minerals 260 ordinary shares. The deal is expected to close within two business days.

Minerals 260 said the total project area has increased to 1,527 square kilometers, up from an initial 130 square kilometers it acquired in April 2025, with the company now controlling "the largest and most prospective areas for gold mineralization along the Bullabulling fault."

Approvals for the project remain on track and are expected to support a final investment decision targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

Minerals 260 shares gained 1% in recent Friday trade.
