Tongkun (SHA:601233) reported a 316% year-over-year jump in attributable net profit in the first half, driven by a 19% increase in revenue, according to a Shanghai bourse filing Wednesday.

The polyester filament yarn manufacturer's attributable profit more than quadrupled to 4.87 billion yuan, or 1.78 yuan per share, from 1.17 billion yuan, or 0.46 yuan per share, a year earlier.

Revenue climbed to 52.7 billion yuan from 44.2 billion yuan.
