0839 GMT - Shares in U.K. home builders rose after Vistry said it won an initial 350 million pounds in government funding to build over 3,000 affordable homes. The last time the U.K. government ran a similar program Vistry only got 83 million pounds in the first round. Under the government's Social and Affordable Homes Program, Vistry has been named as one of 33 strategic partners and the award reflects how much bigger their role is this time around. The house builder works with several housing organizations and local councils across the U.K. Vistry is up 18% followed by Crest Nicholson, up 3.5%, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey, both 1.3% higher.
