Healthcare stocks were mixed premarket Friday, with the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) gaining by 0.1% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) down 0.6%.

Cytokinetics (CYTK) shares were down 4%, extending the 1.6% loss in the previous session. The company said Friday that its phase 3 clinical trial of aficamten in symptomatic non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy met both primary endpoints.

Hutchmed's (HCM) stock was up 1% after the company said a new drug application for fanregratinib to treat liver cancer has been granted conditional approval by China's National Medical Products Administration.

Eli Lilly (LLY) stock was up 0.5% after the company said the US Food and Drug Administration approved Mounjaro to lower the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes who are at high risk for those events.
