0558 GMT - U.S. Treasury yields hit fresh multimonth highs in Asian trade as an escalation in U.S.-Iran hostilities pushed oil prices up, fueling inflation fears and expectations of an interest-rate hike by the Federal Reserve at its Sept. 16 meeting. "Global bond yields remain on a bearish trajectory with real yields driving the sell-off and forwards increasing rate hike expectations for major central banks," Commerzbank's Hauke Siemssen and Erik Liem say in a note. The two-year Treasury yield rises to 4.410%, the highest level since January 2025, while the 10-year yield hit 4.812%, its highest since November 2023, according to Tradeweb data. Investors currently price in a 69% probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike this month, according to LSEG.
