TradingKey - Crowdstrike closes August at $231 and opens September at $231.00. This is right on target with our $230.96 chart reference. The stock has cleared the previous $227.53 double top resistance, and all good signs are pointing to further upside with a constructive fundamental backdrop. The next big catalysts are finally here with Fal.Con running from August 31 to September 3, with the opening keynote on September 1 and CrowdStrike's investor briefing on the 2nd..

Record ARR Growth Strengthens the Fundamental Setup

CrowdStrike tightening the revenue guidance for the year, coupled with strong commentary during the last analyst call, helps us maintain our strong fundamental thesis. The company reported revenue for fiscal Q2 2027 at $1.47 billion, up 26% year over year, and subscription revenue was at $1.40 billion, up 27%. Ending ARR was at $5.84 billion with a year over year increase of 25%.

All eyes were on the net-new ARR during the fiscal Q2 2027 period. CrowdStrike posted record net new ARR at $332.8 million, up 51% year over year. This number is the leading indicator for future subscription revenue, and shows positive signs of both incremental customer logos along with expansion from existing customers.

Falcon Flex Is Becoming a Larger Growth Engine

With the flexibility of Falcon Flex, spending commitment is assured, and the consolidation of the security offering can be done in a flexible, modular way. CrowdStrike offers 33 cloud based modules of security offerings spanning endpoint, cloud, identity, observability, data protection, threat intelligence and AI. The more modules a customer commits to, the more difficult it is to displace CrowdStrike in the security offering.

The consolidation of security offerings drives customer lock-in. A flexible model of offerings makes further consolidation easier. With Falcon Flex, customers can dynamically add offerings, making CrowdStrike a sticky offering.

Cash Flow and Profitability Improved Sharply

While the GAAP operating loss was $33.2 million compared to $105.5 million a year prior, non-GAAP operating income was $371.6 million with a 25% operating margin.

Operating cash flow was a Q2 record of $530 million and free cash flow was $377 million (26% free cash flow margin), a new record. For a growing company (above 25% revenue), this further illustrates that CrowdStrike has the internal means to fund both AI and acquisition endeavors.

Guidance Was Raised After the Earnings Beat

For Q3, CrowdStrike is expecting a revenue range of $1.523 billion to $1.529 billion, a finishing ARR range of $6.184 billion to $6.188 billion, and an expected non-GAAP EPS of approximately $0.31.

Management categorically expects a revenue range of $5.991 billion to $6.011 billion and an ending ARR range of $6.603 billion to $6.612 billion for the full fiscal year. There was additionally an increase of 630 basis points to 34% anticipated net-new ARR growth at the midpoint for the full year, caused by a record Q3 sales pipeline and announced by the company.

AI Security Is Expanding the Addressable Market

CrowdStrike operates within an emerging market for AI security. Enterprises must now secure their AI agents and machine identities in addition to securing traditional end users and endpoints.

Security budgets are expected to increase due to AI based attacks. On August 27, over 100 technology and financial companies warned that AI-enabled cyberattacks are likely to become significantly more widespread.

Fal.Con Is the Next Immediate Catalyst

The first keynote at Fal.Con is scheduled for September 1 by CEO George Kurtz. This is followed by presentations by President Mike Sentonas on September 2 and Chief AI & Autonomous Systems Officer Bartley Richardson on September 3.

The Falcon investor briefing is planned for September 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (PDT), and the focus will likely be on Falcon Flex, the protection of autonomous agents, SIEM, AI Security, and whether the current sales pipeline supports more aggressive target setting for the future.

The next major level will be at $238.77. Should we see a 2-hour close above that level, then it will take the stock toward the next resistance at $250.06 and $260.38 levels. Furthermore, price is comfortably above the rising moving average at $204.74, while the broader support trendline that stems from the June lows is intact.

While the trend is strong and showing positive potential, momentum is also extended to the upside. At this time, RSI is showing extended to the upside, at 72, above the 70 overbought level. This can provide short-term plateauing or consolidation. Should the double-top level at $227.53 break, then the levels at $213.78 and $204.74 can be considered double-top support.
