Morgan Stanley (MS) has complained to X about accounts posting the bank's charts and research, resulting in at least one account being temporarily locked, Bloomberg reported.
The bank filed Digital Millennium Copyright Act complaints against at least 16 accounts that shared screenshots of its research, according to a document provided to Bloomberg by Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at Carson Group Holdings. Detrick's account was locked Wednesday evening.
Detrick said the post flagged by X included a chart from a research report by Mike Wilson, Morgan Stanley's chief US equity strategist and chief investment officer. He said he would have removed the post had Morgan Stanley contacted him directly.
Morgan Stanley and X didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
