AEVEX (AVEX) and Divergent Technologies are collaborating to develop a next-generation autonomous platform focused on emerging defense missions and rapid, scalable deployment, the companies said Wednesday.
Financial details weren't provided.
The companies will explore adaptive airframe designs, rapid integration workflows and digitally enabled production methods aimed at shortening development timelines, reducing part counts and supporting surge production, they said.
AEVEX brings experience delivering thousands of unmanned systems, while Divergent will contribute its DAPS digital manufacturing platform, which combines artificial intelligence-enabled design, additive manufacturing, robotic assembly and model-driven certification, the companies added.
