0530 GMT - China Resources Power is likely to face headwinds from tight coal supply, say DBS Group Research analysts in a note. Coal supply in 1H tightened with prices trending higher amid geopolitical uncertainty, they note. Domestic mine incidents also triggered stricter inspections and constrained local coal output, they add. The analysts expect coal-fired assets to transition toward flexible-adjustment resources, as capacity payments and ancillary services diversify revenue streams and enhance CR Power's long-term operational resilience. However, they flag that near-term earnings would remain weak due to coal cost pressure and lower power prices. DBS maintains its hold rating and target price of 19.20 Hong Kong dollars. Shares are down 1.5% at HK$18.48. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)

0520 GMT - The intensity of ISOTeam's projects likely needs to improve, RHB Research's Alfie Yeo says in a research report. Its FY 2026 earnings were disappointing due to lower revenue recognition, characterized by a slower pace of projects, the analyst says. The intensity and progress of the facilities maintenance specialist's projects need to improve to sustain RHB's revenue growth expectations for ISOTeam. As the company has been affected by slower project intensity in FY 2026, RHB awaits ISOTeam's pace of projects to accelerate before turning more bullish on the stock. It lowers the stock's target price to 0.064 Singapore dollar from S$0.087 with an unchanged neutral rating. Shares are 2.9% lower at S$0.067. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)

0510 GMT - Tencent has several key AI monetization pathways despite higher capital expenditure, Daiwa analyst John Choi says in a research note. AI is already helping improve user engagement, operating efficiency and monetization in its core gaming and ads businesses, while its AI productivity tools have seen increasing subscriptions, he says. Regarding Tencent's current valuation, Daiwa thinks investors are paying primarily for established core franchises given the limited scope for potential monetization for its agent AI tools. Also, in addition to cash generation from its operating businesses, Tencent has an investment portfolio of US$130 billion that provides financial flexibility, Daiwa adds. It notes that Tencent currently has no plans to undertake an equity issuance for additional funding. Shares are last at 442.60 Hong Kong dollars. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)

0501 GMT - Bitcoin edges lower in Asia, staying below $80,000 as rate-hike expectations weigh. It's going to be a cautious few weeks for Bitcoin ahead of the Fed's next meeting, where markets are pricing a 25bp hike at about 65%, says IG's Tony Sycamore. One hike in isolation should not be a gamechanger as Bitcoin looks to build on its August rally, the analyst says. But two or three might be, and at this point IG sees about 60bp of Fed rate hikes priced by June 2027. From a technical perspective, dips back into the mid-to-low $70s will likely be well-supported, says Sycamore. A sustained break above the $81,500/$83,000 resistance area will be needed to signal that a move toward $95,000-$100,000 is underway. Bitcoin slip 0.2% to $78,725.
