Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CP) said Thursday that it has reached a new August monthly record for Canadian grain and grain products.
The transnational railway company said it has transported 2.54 million metric tonnes and 26,051 carloads last month, above the tonnage and carload records seen in August 2020. The new August record covers the first four weeks of the 2026-2027 crop year, which started Aug. 1, the company said.
Canadian Pacific also said that in its US and Canada network, it saw a combined monthly tonnage record for grain movements in August.
