1152 GMT - Investors are looking ahead to U.S. inflation data due to be released on Friday for clues on the possible path of U.S. Federal Reserve rate decisions. Last week's U.S. jobs data came in stronger-than-expected, leading markets to price in an increased chance of the Fed increasing interest rates in September. "A hot inflation report on the back of the strong jobs data would likely tip the balance in favour of a hike, while any moderation in core CPI would push back bets to December," XM's Raffi Boyadjian says in a note. Markets price in a 57% chance of a Fed rate increase in September, LSEG data show.
