Kingsgate Consolidated (ASX:KCN) said the first plant at its Chatree gold mine in Thailand returned to nameplate capacity of 2.3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) following the restoration and restart of a ball mill, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The mine maintained an annualized throughput rate of 4.3 mtpa, representing 87% of combined nameplate capacity, during the 47-day shutdown of the ball mill, per the filing.

The company has ordered a new discharge end mill head to minimize the risk of future disruptions, with arrival expected in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027, per the filing. Kingsgate said it plans to incorporate the installation into a regular maintenance shutdown schedule for the first plant.

The company is evaluating the impact of reduced throughput at the first plant and will issue an update to fiscal 2027 guidance by the end of September, it said.
