Clearway Energy said its chief financial officer, Sarah Rubenstein, will oversee the company's technological transformation through a new role.

Rubenstein was appointed to serve as head of the transformation office at Clearway Energy Group, the company's controlling investor. Her appointment is effective Oct. 1.

Steven Ryder, who currently serves as CFO of Clearway Group, will succeed Rubenstein as CFO of Clearway Energy in addition to his current position.

"We see opportunities to accelerate operational efficiencies by deploying the kind of automation and AI technologies that our generation assets are powering," Chief Executive Officer Craig Cornelius said. "Sarah's transition to this role is an expression of our confidence in the potential enhancements these technologies will provide to our business."

The company also said Samantha Prout will join the company as senior vice president, accounting and controller, effective immediately.
