Singaporean Stocks Rise 0.1%, Bumitama Agri Up 4.6%, Pacific Century Up Over 2%

Stocks in Singapore rose Friday, as the FTSE Straits Times Index added 0.11% to 5695.93.

Among local companies with a market cap of at least 1 billion Singapore dollars ($788.8 million), Bumitama Agri was the biggest leader during the session, increasing 4.6%, and Pacific Century gained 2.1%. CapitaLand China Trust rounded out the top three movers, as shares climbed 0.8%.

HPH Trust USD was the biggest laggard, declining 2.4%, followed by shares of Pan-United, which fell 2.3%. Shares of China Aviation Oil declined 2.1%.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index held steady at 95.18. The U.S. dollar held steady against the Singapore dollar at S$1.27.

In the bond markets, the 10-year Singaporean government bond yield increased 6 basis points to 2.465%.
