Viridis Mining and Minerals (ASX:VMM) named Sedgman and its Brazilian engineering provider Blossom Consultoria e Assessoria as the preferred engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) partner for the Colossus project in Brazil, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Initial activities will start with a pre-final investment decision bridging phase, focusing on detailed engineering to achieve design freeze, finalizing execution and procurement planning, managing awarded long-lead equipment packages, and preparing additional procurement packages for future award, the filing said.

The company approved expenditure of up to $3 million for the bridging phase, per the filing.
