Shares of Capstone Energy+ climbed after the maker of turbine power systems said it delivered two additional gas turbines to support the expansion of a U.S. midstream natural gas infrastructure project in New Mexico.

The stock rose 5.4%, to $5.95, midday Tuesday and is up 18% for the year.

The company said the additional turbines add 2 megawatts of employment, which was secured through Capstone's distributor Horizon Power Systems.

The order expands the customer's fleet to a total of 12 Capstone turbine systems, providing a total of 12 megawatts of power generation across six gas facilities.

The project supports a gas-infrastructure system spanning more than 200,000 acres and more than 200 miles of gathering pipelines.

The deployment began in 2024 with an initial rental fleet of eight gas turbine systems. Following the project's successful performance, the client expanded deployment in 2025 to buy two more systems, and bought the original eight rental units earlier in 2026.
